Marine Classics
Four generations of master craftmanship
in wood ensures a genuine tradition of excellence in our family company.
The current manager John Coates has
worked on many
wooden classics repair and restoration projects. From superyachts,
through
medium sized power and sailing craft
to dinghies. As well as extensive experience of building new
boats.
Based on a wealth of experience of what
goes wrong with older wood boats, we have designed our classic boats to
have an abundance of classic style - without the restoration, safety
and
maintenance problems of an old boat.

John is also a Yachtmaster with
thousands of sea miles experience. This shows in the
rugged safety and practicality features built in to our boats.
Our boats and launches are constructed
from the finest mahogany and other hardwoods.
Together with epoxy, kevlar, carbon fibre and other space age
materials. These innovative construction techniques give our craft
incredible strength with low maintenance.
This makes a high quality boat which has the
grace of a timeless classic, but the low upkeep of a modern boat.
Something to pass down the generations which will have style and value
in decades to come.

Each one of our classic boats is unique
and
built to order. We will modify any of our designs for a particular
use or size. We will also custom make
any fibreglass, mahogany or wooden boat to your design or
requirements up
to around 30 feet.
Our boats are used with pleasure
and pride around the world.
